Being the first at anything is always an honor, I have been honored to be the first at least twice.  One of "RADIO'S" FEMALE PIONEERS to ever go on the air at KKDA-FM (K-104) in Dallas, Texas (1976-1977).  Sherry Jones, Pam Dent, H.F. Stone and then yours truly-KAYE FULLYLVE, we were the trail blazers, we opened the doors for other females to follow.  Some of the other  females who were trailblazers in news included Ruth Allen, Lois Adams-Jamison, and Gina Bivens, just to mention a few.

SOUL 73 KKDA-AM’s DAUGHTER Station, not the SISTER, (as some people would like to refer it), K104-FM was given BIRTH by SOUL 73 KKDA-AM.

♥  While working at 92*5-XHRM-FM Radio in San, Diego, California.  My co-worker Louise Foster and I were invited aboard The USS Ranger Navy Ship in 1979 to record "RADIO" shows for the Navy seamen's voyage to overseas.  This was the first time that women were ever invited onboard any Navy Ship to do something like that.  Louise Foster is currently on the radio in Los Angeles at www.kpfk.org.

I’ve had the pleasure of being in the company of some of the world’s best entertainers in the "BLUES" and "SOUL" industry.  I’ve chronicled some of my most memorable moments that I’d like to share with you.  Please join me for a view down my personal ‘Wall of Fame”.

Kaye Fullylove & 'Mr. 1st Class'

Johnnie Taylor

It has always been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.  I believe that. There's always a story behind every picture.  This  photo is one of my most prized possessions.  It was taken in November of 1999 at The Morton Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.  Johnnie Taylor and I were talking  before he went onstage, and we paused to take this picture.  At first I was irritated because the flash was above his head.  But one of his friends later told me to leave the picture alone, he felt like it was a symbol of his Guardian Angel coming to get him 6 months later.  Everyone is entitled to see things the way they perceive them.  I understood the gentleman when he made that statement.  I left the picture alone.  I am now sharing with the public one of my many photos I took with the Legendary Mr. Johnnie Harrison Taylor.

Johnnie Taylor was a 1st. class act.  Johnnie Taylor, whom I affectionately called 'My Big Daddy' was headlining a 1st class Show this particular night for his friend at Pro-Line Corp.-Mr. Comer Cottrell.  After Dinner, before he went on stage, he paused to take a picture with me.

A few moments earlier, a few of Johnnie's closest friends were with him in his dressing room, when word came that Comer Cottrell had collapsed.  'The Wailer' jumped up to go check on his friend.  When he came back into the dressing room and found out he would be OK, being the real trooper he was-'The Show Must Go On' and it did.

It was a 'Who's Who' Night.  Comedian George Wallace, Roger Mosley, Shuckey Duckey and others, just to mention a few, were in the house.
